Talltale

A unique blend of melodic electronica and pop, Talltale has garnered awards such as Artist To Watch (2018 EMA's) and Electronic Song of the Year (2018 Canadian Songwriting Competition) for her quirky songwriting, self-directed visuals, and distinctive live show where she displays her talent as a vocalist and drummer. She was also nominated for the Electronic/Dance Artist of the Year (2019 Western Canadian Music Awards).

Talltale quickly landed a publishing deal with CYMBA Music Publishing after her debut release, writing for artists internationally like Hitomi Shimatani, and her live show has earned her spots opening for Alyssa Reid, Virginia to Vegas, Tyler Shaw, and Trevor Guthrie. She continues to work as a writer for J-Pop and K-Pop artists when not working on her own music.

The lead single “Tokyo'' from her recent visual album “A Japanese Fever Dream'' was placed on several curated playlists and was played across CBC, Sirius XM and college radio. Following the release of “A Japanese Fever Dream” Talltale was invited to perform at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo.

Talltale released three new singles in 2020 culminating in her new four song EP “Sugar,” which she is currently promoting. This most recent EP shows off her excellent pop-sensibility while also showcasing her lyrical depth and controlled vocals. The track “26”, is an anthem to the existential dread that is shared among many young adults today due to climate change, financial stress, and the fear of failure. In contrast, “Shirt,'' is an electronica-pop track that features her captivating vocals and more lighthearted yet sincere lyrics.
