Leanne Hoffman

Leanne Hoffman is a multi-disciplinary artist, songwriter, and producer living in Halifax, NS. She released her first solo, full-length album in May 2019, earning four nominations at the Music Nova Scotia Awards, winning two, and a nomination for an East Coast Music Award.


Hoffman’s second album, “The Text Collector”, released in June 2023, was co-produced with award winning producer Erin Costelo. The songs on this album are based on her own original poems written over the course of 2022 as a part of a project to write one poem every day for a year. In August, 2023she released a book containing these poems.


Hoffman was enrolled at the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston fortwo years and has recently completed her degree there, specializing in production and engineering. She has written with a wide range of artists suchas Breagh Isabel, Sunsetto, Don Brownrigg, Reeny Smith, Carleton Stone, Terra Spencer, and Erin Costelo.

She has had a placement on the Netflix show “Never Have I Ever” for her co-written song with Young Echoes. While her writing style is predominantly pop, she has written in genres from Country and Folk to R&B and Jazz.
