Good Boy Nikko

GOOD BOY NIKKO is the surreal and shiny, alternative city-pop duo dreamed up by Leroy Lupton and Carl Thomas from Northern England. Meshing together their diverse inspirations of hard-hitting disco grooves, 90s-00s pop culture, kawaii Japanese Shibuya-kei and irresistible pop melodies, they have created something truly unique and in it’s own lane.

Their 2019 self-produced debut EP ‘HELLO!’ explored themes of alienation and the constant inner battle of self-control (as well as a particular episode of The Simpsons and a karaoke bar in Portugal). The EP gained radio play all across the UK with it’s lead single “When We’re Sober” being playlisted for a consecutive 5 weeks on the ‘BBC Introducing’ show.

Their 2023 sophomore EP ‘SUPER251' (also self-produced) saw the duo delve deeper into their paradoxical goal of turning esoteric themes into universal sing-along pop songs. ’SUPER251' has also received massive UK radio attention with it’s single “Portugal” being playlisted on BBC Introducing.

Good Boy Nikko have played venues and festivals all across the UK sharing stages with the likes of Razorlight, Basement Jaxx, The Coral, The Hoosiers and Beardyman to name a few. They recently flew across the pond to play at ‘Canada’s most important discovery music festival’ NXNE.

They are currently working on new music with Grammy award winning music producer Edward J. Nixon of the J.U.S.T.I.C.E league who has worked with the likes of Usher, Drake and Travis Scott.
